Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation. One (1) additional image of the recalled Raw Ground Chorizo Sausage products can be found on the Web site above.

These Lonely Lane Farms Chorizo Sausage products were known to be marketed, distributed and sold in the US state of Oregon, including at least one (1) Farmer’s Market, although it is always possible these food products had wider distribution within the country. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.

According to the USDA, the Pork Meat products subject to recall bear establishment number “EST. M40256” inside the USDA mark of inspection. The recall was initiated after the firm received three (3) consumer complaints reporting findings of hard pieces of crystalline material in the product. As a direct result of this suspected defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Chorizo Sausage identified above.

In general, if glass, plastic or metal fragments are ingested, they could cut the mouth, stomach or other parts of the GI tract, cause intestinal perforation or serious infection and possibly require surgical intervention for their safe removal.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure small children and pets can’t access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Lonely Lane Farms Family Farm branded Raw Ground Chorizo Sausage products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat choking, oral injury, internal ingestion, GI tract laceration damage and/or bowel obstruction.
