Logo - Ford Motor Company Ford Motor Company (“Ford”), a Dearborn, Michigan establishment, has recalled an estimated 15,769 model year 2018 F-150 Pickup Trucks, 2018-2020 F-250 Pickup Trucks and F-350 Pickup Trucks as well as 2019 Ford Escape compact Sport Utility Vehicles (“SUVs”) equipped with Continental Tires sold and delivered in the United States

Recall Category: Tires – Tire failure may cause sudden air loss

NHTSA Safety Notification 21V155000 reports on the recalled Ford F-Series Pickup Trucks and Ford Escape SUVs, it is possible that one or more Tires were cured for too long during production.

According to the NHTSA, over-cured Tires may develop a break in the Sidewall, resulting in sudden air loss or Belt Edge separation which could lead to Tread/Belt loss. Either condition can cause a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash, motor vehicle collision (“MVC”) or other impact event with consequential serious injury and/or life-changing results.
