Among the one hundred-and-fifteen (115) recalls the NHTSA announced this past month, came news of the following:

Logo - Jayco, Inc.Jayco, Inc. (“Jayco”), a Middlebury, Indiana establishment and subsidiary of Thor Industries of Elkhart, Indiana, has recalled an estimated 18,636 model year 2019-2020 Jayco White Hawk Travel Trailers, Jayco Jay Flight SLX Travel Trailers, Jayco Jay Feather Travel Trailers, Jayco Jay Flight Travel Trailers, Dometic 3 Burner Cooking Stoves sold and delivered in the United States.

Recall Category: Equipment – Stove Saddle Valves may leak gas

NHTSA Safety Notification 21V184000 reports the Saddle Valve Securing Bolt may be overtightened, possibly damaging the O-Ring Seal and causing a continuous gas leak.

According to the NHTSA, a Gas Leak can increase the risk of a fire, explosion, burns and/or smoke inhalation with consequential life-changing or life-ending results.

Jayco will notify registered owners, and Dometic Service Centers will install a remedy kit of Gaskets, Washers, Thread Locker Bolts and two round Orange Labels, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin April 30, 2021. Owners may contact Jayco Customer Service toll-free at 1-800-283-8267. Jayco’s designation for this recall is 9901566.
