Additional information:
The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Salmon Burgers are subject to this recall:

  • Trident Seafoods branded Pacific Salmon Burgers, sold in 3-pound (48-ounce) packages with a batch/lot designation of GC101431, a best-by date of 01/14/2023 and thought to have been distributed at Costco stores.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

These Salmon Burgers are thought to have been known to be marketed, distributed and sold in all US states although it is always possible these food products had wider distribution within the country. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.

According to the FDA, Trident Seafoods has recalled certain batch/lots of Trident Seafoods branded Pacific Salmon Burgers from the American marketplace due to suspected metal fragment contamination. As a result of this reported defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Salmon Burgers identified above.

In general, if metal fragments are ingested, they could cut the mouth, stomach or other parts of the GI tract, cause intestinal perforation or serious infection and possibly require surgical intervention for their safe removal.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Salmon Burgers, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Salmon Burgers to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
