Logo - Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLCJaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (“Land Rover”), a Mahwah, New Jersey establishment and a subsidiary of Tata Motors of Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, has recalled an estimated 26,805 model year 2018-2020 Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Range Rover Discovery and Range Rover Velar vehicles sold and delivered in the United States.

Recall Category: Exterior Lighting – High Beam Malfunction in apparent contravention of US FMVSS 108

NHTSA Safety Notification 21V117000 reports the Auto High Beam (“AHB”) System does not indicate through the Instrument Cluster when the High Beams are illuminated automatically. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (“FMVSS”) number 108, “Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment”.

According to the NHTSA, a driver of the recalled vehicles may be unaware that the High Beams are illuminated, reducing visibility for oncoming traffic, and increasing the risk of a crash, motor vehicle collision (“MVC”) or other impact event with consequential serious injury and/or life-changing results.
