Australia FlagAustralia/Canberra: Tobil & Co Pty Ltd, a Melbourne, Victoria establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of iCandy Mi Chair Children’s High Chairs from the Australian marketplace due to suspected structural failure and component detachment with consequential risks of laceration, concussion and bone fracture, all serious safety situations, requiring immediate medical intervention.

The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Children’s High Chairs are subject to this recall:

  • iCandy Mi Chair Children’s High Chairs, sold with a batch/lot of A10096 and serial numbers ranging from HCJS00001 to HCJS00350

==> No barcodes, APNs, EANs, item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the ACCC, the recalled Children’s High Chairs may develop hairline cracks close to bolt attachment points. This may result in the seat coming away from the leg base. If this defect occurs and the seat comes away from the leg base, it could result in the chair collapsing, increasing the risk of serious injury to small children.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Children’s High Chairs, please do not use them for your child. Instead, kindly contact Tobil & Co Pty Ltd. for a replacement seat.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 0-0-0, your closest hospital or emergency centre equipped to properly treat laceration, bone fracture and/or concussion injuries.
