US FlagUS/Silver Spring: MG Foods, a Charlotte, North Carolina establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of various Fresh to You branded and MG Foods branded Turkey Wrap Sandwiches from the American marketplace due to suspected Listeria monocytogenes contamination and consequential risks of Gram-positive bacterial infection, viral infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards.

Additional information:
The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Turkey Wrap Sandwiches are subject to this recall:

  • Fresh to You Deluxe Club Wraps, sold in-10.39 ounce plastic wedges with a use-by date of 3/7/2021 and a manufacturing code of MGF9814
  • MG Foods Roasted Turkey in a Tomato Basil Wraps, sold in 6.90-ounce plastic wedges with a use-by date of 3/7/2021 and a UPC of 1 00000 50005 7
  • MG Foods The Club in a Spinach Wraps, sold in 8.50-ounce plastic wedges with a use-by date of 3/7/2021 and a UPC of 1 00000 50008 8

==> No manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

These Turkey Wrap Sandwiches were known to be marketed, distributed and sold from vending machines and micro markets located in business locations in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and West Virginia. although it is always possible these food products had wider distribution within the country. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.

According to the FDA, MG Foods has expanded its existing recall issued March 10, 2021 to include additional three Turkey Wrap Sandwiches due to potential contamination of Listeria monocytogenes. As a result of this reported defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Turkey Wrap Sandwiches identified above, nor any of those previously recalled.

Please note: while these Turkey Sandwich products may be close to or past their use-by dates, they may be in your freezers or storage chillers. If you have purchased any of these products during the time period ranging from February 15, 202 and March 21, 2021, please check your refrigerators, chillers and/or freezers to ensure these food products have not been stored for future consumption. If found, these products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase for refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Turkey Wrap Sandwiches, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the sandwiches to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat bacterial poisonings such as Listeriosis.
