UK FlagUK/London: SFC (Wholesale) Limited, an Ashton-On-Ribble, Preston, England establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of SFC Chicken Poppets, Strips, Nuggets and Dippers, Little Hill Farm Chicken Breast Fillets as well as SFC Take Home Boneless Buckets from the British marketplace due to suspected Salmonella contamination and consequential risks of Gram-negative bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards.

The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following processed Chicken products are subject to recall:

  • Little Hill Farm Chicken Breast Fillets, sold in 500 gram packages; affected batch/lots: all codes with best-before dates up to and including 30 June 2022
  • SFC Chicken Nuggets, sold in 200 gram packages; affected batch/lots: all codes with best-before dates up to and including 30 June 2022
  • SFC Crispy Dippers (Halal), sold in 200 gram packages; affected batch/lots: all codes with best-before dates up to and including 30 June 2022
  • SFC Crispy Dippers, sold in 200 gram packages; affected batch/lots: all codes with best-before dates up to and including 30 June 2022
  • SFC Mega Boxes, sold in 1610 gram (1.61 kilogram) packages; affected batch/lots: all codes with best-before dates up to and including 30 June 2022
  • SFC Poppets (Halal), sold in 190 gram packages; affected batch/lots: all codes with best-before dates up to and including 30 June 2022
  • SFC Poppets, sold in 190 gram packages; affected batch/lots: all codes with best-before dates up to and including 30 June 2022
  • SFC Southern Fried Chicken Burgers, sold in 228 gram packages; affected batch/lots: all codes with best-before dates up to and including 30 June 2022
  • SFC Southern Fried Chicken Strips (Halal), sold in 155 gram packages; affected batch/lots: all codes with best-before dates up to and including 30 June 2022
  • SFC Southern Fried Chicken Strips, sold in 155 gram packages; affected batch/lots: all codes with best-before dates up to and including 30 June 2022
  • SFC Southern Fried Chicken Strips, sold in 400 gram packages; affected batch/lots: all codes with best-before dates up to and including 30 June 2022
  • SFC Take-Home Boneless Boxes (Halal), sold in 550 gram packages; affected batch/lots: all codes with best-before dates up to and including 30 June 2022
  • SFC Take-Home Boneless Boxes, sold in 550 gram packages; affected batch/lots: all codes with best-before dates up to and including 30 June 2022
  • SFC Take-Home Boneless Boxes, sold in 600 gram packages; affected batch/lots: all codes with best-before dates up to and including 30 June 2022
  • SFC Take-Home Boneless Boxes, sold in 625 gram packages; affected batch/lots: all codes with best-before dates up to and including 30 June 2022
  • SFC Take-Home Boneless Buckets, sold in 650 gram packages; affected batch/lots: all codes with best-before dates up to and including 30 June 2022

==> No barcodes, EANs, UPCs, item numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

Additional images of the recalled SFC Chicken Poppets, Strips, Nuggets and Dippers, Little Hill Farm Chicken Breast Fillets as well as SFC Take Home Boneless Buckets can be found on the Web site above.

According to the FSA, SFC has recalled additional SFC and Little Hill Farm Chicken products because Salmonella has been found in these products. This update extends the recall to all SFC products for certain dates, listed above and adds an additional product, Little Hill Farm Chicken Breast Fillets to be recalled. All batch codes are affected with best before dates up to and including 30 of June 2022. Products after this best before date are not covered by this recall notification.

As a direct result of this suspected defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Chicken products identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled process Chicken Popper products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Chicken products to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

Alternatively, you can e-mail a photo of the Chicken products’ packaging, clearly showing the batch code information, to customerservices@sfcwholesale.co.uk whereupon a refund will be processed by post.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-9-9, your closest hospital A&E or emergency centre equipped to properly treat bacterial poisonings such as Salmonellosis.
