US/Washington & Canada/Ottawa: Urban Outfitters Inc., a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania establishment and URBN Canada Retail Inc., a Toronto, Ontario establishment, recall an estimated total 2,760 of Urban Outfitters Recalls Margo branded Taper Candle Holders (approximately 2,700 in the US and approximately 60 in Canada) from the American and Canadian marketplaces due to suspected contact flammability and consequential risks of consequential risks of burns, scalds, smoke inhalation and/or respiratory failure, cardiac system collapse and/or property damage.

Additional information:
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involves certain Urban Outfitter’s Margo Taper Candle Holders, as follows:

• Urban Outfitter’s Margo Taper Candle Holders, sold as geometric-shaped Candle Holders are made of pine wood or acacia wood and were sold in small, medium and large sizes. The following SKU numbers are located on the price label on the bottom of the Candle Holder:
  • Margo Taper Candle Holders – Small, sold with a SKU of 0058346800
  • Margo Taper Candle Holders – Medium, sold with a SKU of 0058346818
  • Margo Taper Candle Holders – Large, sold with a SKU of 0058346826

==> No barcodes, UPCs, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CPSC, the Candle Holders can catch on fire if they come in contact with the Candle’s own flame. If this defect occurs, it poses a fire hazard with consequential risks of burns, scalds, smoke inhalation and/or respiratory failure, cardiac system collapse and/or property damage.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Candle Holders, please do not use them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund. Customers can also contact Urban Outfitters to receive a prepaid return label to return the Candle Holders by mail. Urban Outfitters is contacting online purchasers by e-mail.

Please note: this is a joint recall from the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) and Health Canada (“HCSC”).
