Australia FlagAustralia/Canberra: Bright Brewery, a Bright, Victoria establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Bright Brewery Pineapple Dream Nitro Milkshake Ale products from the Australian marketplace due to suspected secondary fermentation and consequential exploding cans caused by increased Carbon Dioxide production with risks of inadvertent alcohol intoxication, eye damage and/or laceration, both serious safety hazards.

Additional information:
The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Alcoholic Beer products are subject to this recall:

  • Bright Brewery branded Pineapple Dream Nitro Milkshake Ale, sold in 355 mL cans with a best-before date of 05 11 21, a batch/lot of PCD01. The recalled alcohol beverages were sold individually with an APN/EAN of 9336969009008, as a 4-pack, as a 24-pack and as a part of mixed Beer packs.

==> No item numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the Beer’s packaging, design and retail presentation.

According to the ACCC, this recall was initiated due to the potential for the cans of Bright Brewery Pineapple Dream Nitro Milkshake Ale products to unexpectedly pop open due to ongoing secondary fermentation. Consequently, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Beer products identified above.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Bright Brewery Pineapple Dream Nitro Milkshake Ale products, please do not open nor consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the Beer products to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 0-0-0, your closest hospital or emergency centre equipped to properly treat lacerations and/or eye injury.
