Among the forty-nine (49) recalls the European Union announced in its first report of March 2021, the following recall notification was made:

Flying Tiger Copenhagen branded Car Carrier Truck Toys with Removable Wooden Car Toys

Flying Tiger Copenhagen branded Car Carrier Truck Toys with Removable Wooden Car Toys, sold with a model number of 3019330, a batch/lot designation of 3019330 and a barcode/EAN of 0200030193301. This recall alert was submitted by Denmark to the EU Safety Gateway. The recalled Toys were also found in Cyprus and Greece, both member countries of the European Union.

These Flying Tiger branded Car Carrier Truck Toys are marketed, sold and delivered as Wooden Toys suitable for small children and consist of an “auto-hauler” carrier truck with attached trailer carrying three (3) small cars, each coloured green, yellow or red.

 No item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

The type of hazards presented in these recalled These Flying Tiger branded Car Carrier Truck Toys include the reported finding that due to component detachment, parts, specifically, the small connector piece between the Truck and its Trailer unit, may detach from the Truck and could pose risks to the health of children who utilize the product in a reasonable manner expected with its intended design and anticipated use.

As a direct consequence of these reported defects, the Flying Tiger branded Car Carrier Truck Toys may cause consequential risks of choking, oral injury, internal ingestion, GI tract laceration damage, bowel obstruction and/or sepsis.

These Toy products, therefore, do not comply with Europe’s Safety Directives and the EU relevant standard, EN 71-1.

As a result of these reported defects, a recall of these Flying Tiger branded Car Carrier Truck Toys, a withdrawal of the products from the European marketplace and recall from end users in the European marketplace has been ordered.
