Canada/Ottawa: Kidz District, a Montreal, Quebec establishment, recalls an estimated 1,137 Copper Pearl branded Binky Baby Pacifier Clips from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected component detachment and consequential risks of choking, oral injury, internal ingestion, GI tract laceration damage, bowel obstruction and/or sepsis.

Health Canada/Santé Canada (“HCSC”) reports this recall involves certain Copper Pearl Binky Pacifier Clip 3-Packs:

  • Copper Pearl Binky Baby Pacifier Clips. Each of the recalled Clips has a knit strap with a metal clasp to hold a Pacifier, as follows:
    • Bloom Binky Clips, sold with a SKU of X002BFLWMX and a UPC of 818019028119
    • Chip Binky Clips, sold with a SKU of X002BFLWMN and a UPC of 818019028102
    • Scotland Binky Clips, sold with a SKU of X002BFM0DD and a UPC of 818019028126

==> No best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to Health Canada, while opening and closing, the metal clip attached to the Baby Pacifier Clip can break. If this defect occurs, it can release small parts that may pose choking and ingestion hazards to young children who utilize the product in a reasonable manner expected with its intended design and anticipated use.

In general, if glass, plastic or metal fragments are ingested, they could cut the mouth, stomach or other parts of the GI tract, cause intestinal perforation or serious infection and possibly require surgical intervention for their safe removal.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Baby Pacifier Clips, please do not use them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
