The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Multivitamin Supplements are subject to recall:

  • Boots Multivitamin Supplements, sold in 180 tablet bottles with batch/lot codes of 1805 or 1806 and a best-before end date of November 2022

==> No barcodes, EANs, UPCs, item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FSA, Boots has recalled certain batch/lots of Boots Multivitamin Supplements from the British marketplace due to suspected mislabeling/mispackaging and consequential risks of dietary Iron overdose and Vitamin K deficiency. You should neither serve nor consume the recalled Multivitamins identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Multivitamins, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another preparation. Instead, return the Multivitamins to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-9-9, your closest hospital A&E or emergency centre equipped to properly treat Iron overdose and/or Vitamin K deficiency.
