Kettler branded Multi Training Bars, sold with a model designation of 07361-600, a batch/lot designation of 21470256 Y43 and a barcode/EAN of 4001397470656.

These Multi Training Bars are marketed, sold and delivered as exercise tools to stretch muscles and place arms and legs under dynamic tension designed to simulate weight bearing activities and stimulate muscle growth.

No manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

The type of hazards presented in these recalled Kettler branded Multi Training Bars include the reported finding that the product contains Short-Chain Chlorinated Paraffins (“SCCPs”) with a measured value of 13000 mg/kg). SCCPs remain in the environment and are toxic to aquatic life in low concentrations. These substances bioaccumulate in both humans and animals and thus pose a risk to both human health and to the environment in general.

As a direct consequence of these reported defects, the Kettler branded Multi Training Bars may cause harm when utilized in a reasonable manner expected with their intended use. These products, therefore, do not comply with Europe’s Persistent Organic Pollutants (“POPs”) requirements.
