Canada/Ottawa: Logo - Sobeys Inc.Sobeys Inc., a Mississauga, Ontario and Stellarton, Nova Scotia establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Panache branded Sweet Onion Poppy Seed Dressing from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected spoilage and consequential risk of bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards.

Additional information:
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Poppy Seed Dressing products are subject to this recall:

  • Panache branded Sweet Onion Poppy Seed Dressing, sold in 350 ml bottles; affected best-before dates: best-before date codes of 2021 OC 16 or 2021 OC 30 with a UPC of 6 23682 1222 9

==> No item numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CFIA, Sobeys has recalled certain batch/lots of Panache branded Sweet Onion Poppy Seed Dressing from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected spoilage. If spoilage occurs it could make this product unsafe to eat. Consequentially, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Ranch Dressing products identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Sweet Onion Poppy Seed Dressing products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the Dressing to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat bacterial poisoning.
