Canada/Ottawa: One Degree Organic Foods Inc., an Abbotsford, British Columbia establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of One Degree Organic Foods branded Gluten Free Sprouted Rolled Oats from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected package integrity defects and rancidity with consequential risks of bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Gluten Free Sprouted Rolled Oat products are subject to this recall:

  • One Degree Organic Foods branded Gluten Free Sprouted Rolled Oats, sold in 2.27 kilogram bags; affected batch/lots: all best-by date codes up to and including MAR 15,2022 with a UPC of 6 75625 32318 8

==> No item numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

These Gluten Free Sprouted Rolled Oat products were known to be marketed, distributed and sold in the Canadian provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Quebec and Saskatchewan although it is always possible these food products had wider distribution within the country. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.

According to the CFIA, One Degree Organic Foods has recalled certain batch/lots of One Degree Organic Foods branded Gluten Free Sprouted Rolled Oat products from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected integrity defects and rancidity. As a result of this reported defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Rolled Oat products identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Rolled Oat products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
