Everyday Gentle Bubble Bath Recall [Canada]

Canada/Ottawa: The Honest Company, Inc. a Los Angeles, California establishment, recalls an estimated 1,020 bottles of Everyday Gentle Bubble Bath in Sweet Orange Vanilla from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected Pluralibacter gergoviae contamination and consequential risks of Gram-positive bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards.

Health Canada/Santé Canada (“HCSC”) reports this recall involves the following Bubble Bath products:

• Everyday Gentle Bubble Bath in Sweet Orange Vanilla, sold in 355 ml bottles with batch/lot numbers TH20234201 or TH20237201, a SKU of H02BB122V2RES and a UPC of 817810010071

==> No best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to Health Canada, the recalled Bubble Bath products may be contaminated with Pluralibacter gergoviae bacteria. In theory, Pluralibacter gergoviae rarely causes serious infections in healthy individuals. Those with weakened immune systems, however, as well as those who suffer from a serious pre-existing condition, who have been treated surgically, or belong to another sensitive group of persons are at an increased risk of infection if they use any product contaminated with Pluralibacter gergoviae.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Everyday Gentle Bubble Bath products, please do not use them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm cosmetic poisoning or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure pets and small children can’t access the suspect food.
