==> No barcodes, UPCs, NDCs, DINs, item numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to Apple, all iPhones contain magnets, other components and radios that emit electromagnetic fields. All MagSafe accessories (each sold separately) also contain magnets while MagSafe Chargers and MagSafe Duo Chargers contain radios.

Apple says that although all iPhone 12 models contain more magnets than prior iPhone models, it does not expect the new phones and chargers to pose a greater risk of magnetic interference to medical devices than prior iPhone models. Apple does report, however, that medical devices such as implanted pacemakers and defibrillators might contain sensors that respond to magnets and radios when in close proximity.

Apple suggests that to avoid any potential interactions with these devices, please keep your iPhone and MagSafe Accessories a safe distance away from any implantable device (more than 6 inches / 15 cm apart or more than 12 inches / 30 cm apart if wirelessly charging). The characteristics and vulnerabilities of various implanted devices vary so iPhone users should consult with your physician and your device manufacturer for specific guidelines and advice.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these electronic devices, please do not use them without carefully mitigating the risks involved. These mitigation tactics may include using hands-free option wherever possible, storing and using the iPhone well away from the chest or other body part that contains the medical device and using a third-part handset to make and receive phone calls.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly medical device in-field degradation, damage or operational failure.
