Logo - KZRV, LPKZRV, LP, a Jackson Center, Ohio establishment and subsidiary of Shipshewana, Indiana-based KZ, Inc. and itself a subsidiary of Thor Industries, Inc. of Elkhart, Indiana has recalled an estimated 806 model year 2021 Sportsmen Classic, Escape, and Sonic Recreational Trailers marketed, sold and delivered in the United States.

Recall Category: Electrical System, Equipment – Microwave Circuits connected improperly

NHTSA Safety Notification 21V013000 reports the Microwave Circuits were improperly connected to a 20 Ampere circuit breaker device rather than the intended 15 Ampere circuit breaker.

According to the NHTSA, being connected to an incorrect Amperage circuit breaker may not provide adequate circuit protection by allowing more current to travel through the wiring than is recommended, increasing the risk of a fire, explosion, burns and/or smoke inhalation with consequential life-changing or life-ending results.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat burns, scalds, smoke inhalation and/or respiratory injury.

Please note that under 49 United States Code § 30112(a), it is illegal for anyone, including a manufacturer, distributor, dealer or retailer to sell an item of equipment or vehicle that fails to comply with all applicable Federal motor vehicle safety standards.
