Canada/Ottawa: Harvest Meats, a Yorkton, Saskatchewan establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Harvest branded Polish Sausages from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected underprocessing and/or undercooking with consequential risks of bacterial and/or viral infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Polish Sausage products are subject to this recall:

  • Harvest branded Polish Sausages, sold in 675 gram plastic shrink-wrapped packages with a best-before date code of 2021MR15

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation. Additional images of the recalled Polish Sausage products can be found on the Web site above.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

These Polish Sausages were known to be marketed, distributed and sold in the Canadian provinces and territories of Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, Saskatchewan and Northwest Territories although it is always possible these food products had wider distribution within the country. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.

According to the CFIA, Harvest Meats has recalled certain batch/lots of Harvest branded Polish Sausages from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected underprocessing and/or undercooking with consequential risks of bacterial and/or viral infection. As a result of this reported defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Polish Sausages identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Harvest branded Polish Sausages, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
