Among the fifteen (15) recalls the NHTSA has announced in January 2021, comes news of the following:

Logo - Automann Inc.Automann Inc. (“Automann”), a Somerset, New Jersey establishment, has recalled 86,243 Automann branded Warning Triangle Sets, part number 562.9000 marketed, sold and delivered in the United States.

Recall Category: Equipment – Warning Triangles insufficiently visible in apparent contravention of US FMVSS 125

NHTSA Safety Notification 21E001000 reports the recalled Warning Triangle Sets fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (“FMVSS”) number 125, “Warning Devices”.

According to the NHTSA, the recalled Warning Triangle Sets not be sufficiently visible to oncoming vehicles, potentially increasing the risk of a crash, motor vehicle collision (“MVC”) or other impact event with consequential serious injury and/or life-changing results.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat lacerations, concussions, bone fractures, amputation, central nervous system (“CNS”) damage and/or internal injuries.

Please note that under 49 United States Code § 30112(a), it is illegal for anyone, including a manufacturer, distributor, dealer or retailer to sell an item of equipment or vehicle that fails to comply with all applicable Federal motor vehicle safety standards.

Automann will notify its distributors offering them a credit for the full purchase price for all returned or destroyed Warning Triangle Set units in their inventory. Automann will also request that distributors notify all purchasers, for them to return the recalled Warning Triangle Sets and to arrange for a credit of their full purchase price. The recall is expected to begin January 18, 2021.

Owners may contact Automann Customer Service toll-free at 1-201-529-4996 during normal business hours, Monday to Friday, Eastern Standard Time (“EST”) for more information. Automann’s designation for this recall is 0012021.
