US FlagUS/Silver Spring: EVR Foods, Inc., parent company of Lavva, an Aiken, South Carolina establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Lavva Blueberry Plant-Based Yogurt from the American marketplace due to suspected Mold contamination and consequential risks of infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards.

Additional information:
The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Yogurt products are subject to this recall:

  • Lavva Blueberry Plant-Based Yogurt, sold in 5.3 ounce, blue plastic cups with a foil lid, a batch/lot of 022121 and an expiration date of 02/21/21 (February 21, 2021)

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

These Yogurt products were known to be marketed, distributed and sold in retail stores US nationwide. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.

If you are concerned about distribution outside the United States, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.

According to the FDA, these Plant-Based Yogurt products were produced at a manufacturing facility in Norwich, New York and is linked to the single batch/lot and date code as of the date of this release. As a result of this reported defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled these Plant-Based Yogurt products identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Plant-based Yogurt products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Yogurt products to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
