Logo - Ford Motor CompanyFord Motor Company (“Ford”), a Dearborn, Michigan establishment, has recalled an estimated 1,405 model year 2020-2021 Explorer and Lincoln Aviator vehicles marketed, sold and delivered in the United States.

Recall Category: Engine – Motor Mount Fasteners may loosen over time

NHTSA Safety Notification 20V788000 reports the right hand Motor Mount Fasteners may have been incorrectly tightened, and may loosen over time.

According to the NHTSA, with a loose Motor Mount, motor vibration may cause the vehicle’s axle to disconnect from the Engine and could result in loss of power, increasing the risk of a crash, motor vehicle collision (“MVC”) or other impact event with consequential serious injury and/or life-changing results
