According to Health Canada, the recalled Solvent products do not meet Canada’s child-resistant packaging regulations nor the country’s labelling requirements for consumer chemical products as required by the Consumer Chemicals and Containers Regulations, 2001 under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act.

Due to this reported defect, these products pose an aspiration hazard if inhaled or ingested. The lack of child-resistant packaging and appropriate labelling information could result in unintentional exposure to the product and lead to serious illness or injury, including death.

Aspiration into the lungs can occur when the product enters the lungs directly or is coughed up or vomited after being ingested. This coughing/vomiting could cause small particles of the product to travel into the lungs, or the product may be inhaled directly in the form of a fine mist. All these situations could result in serious health effects.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Breakthrough Military-Grade branded Solvent products, please do not use them. Instead, kindly ensure the product is stored out of reach of children, and contact Blue Line Solutions for further instructions.

Disposal of this product must be in accordance with local municipal hazardous waste requirements to protect your personal safety, the local drinking water supply and the ecosystem. Please consult your local municipal waste authority for the correct steps for your particular community.
