UK FlagUK/London: ASK Italian, a London, England establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Ask Italian Christmas Crackers from the British marketplace due to undeclared Barley (Gluten), Eggs, Peanuts, Soya (Soy), Wheat (Gluten) and may contain Almonds (Nuts) and Oats (Gluten) not mentioned on the label, all known allergens, sources of dietary intolerance and possible triggers of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention.

The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Christmas Cracker products are subject to recall:

  • ASK Italian Christmas Crackers, sold with a best-before end date of September 2021

==> No barcodes, EANs, NDCs, DINs, UPCs, item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FSA, ASK Italian has recalled certain batch/lots of Ask Italian Christmas Crackers from the British marketplace due to undeclared Barley (Gluten), Eggs, Peanuts, Soya (Soy), Wheat (Gluten) and may contain Almonds (Nuts) and Oats (Gluten) not mentioned on the label.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Ask Italian Christmas Crackers and could be allergic to their Almonds Nut, Barley Gluten, Eggs, Oat Gluten, Peanuts, Soya and/or Wheat Gluten ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-9-9, your closest hospital A&E or emergency centre equipped to properly treat Anaphylaxis.
