US FlagUS/Washington: Logan Outdoor Products LLC, doing business as Camp Chef, a Hyde Park, Utah establishment, recalls an estimated 20,600 Camp Chef branded Portable Gas Stoves from the American marketplace due to suspected gas seal failure and consequential risks of fire, explosion, burns, smoke inhalation and/or respiratory and/or cardiac collapse.

Additional information:
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involves certain Camp Chef Portable Gas Stoves with model numbers MS40A, MSHP or MSGG and with component gas regulators date coded “1923” through “2030” inclusive.

  • The model number of each Portable Gas Stove is located on the manufacturers label on the bottom of the Stove and the gas regulator date code is engraved on the regulator.
    • The Camp Chef Gas Stove, model MS40A is aluminum colored with the “Mountaineer” name printed on the front and the Camp Chef logo embossed on the lid.
    • The Camp Chef Gas Stove, model MSHP is black and red with the brand, “EVEREST 2X” printed on the front and the Camp Chef logo embossed on the lid.
    • The Camp Chef Gas Stove, model MSGG is black and red with the brand, “Rainer 2X” logo printed on the front and the Camp Chef logo embossed on the lid.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CPSC, an internal part of the Gas Regulator component can have a sharp edge that can wear or tear a hole in the seal causing gas to leak out of the top of the regulator, posing a fire hazard to people who utilize the product in a reasonable manner expected with its intended use.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Camp Chef branded Portable Gas Stoves, please do not use them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly burns, smoke inhalation, respiratory and/or cardiac collapse.
