Additional information:
Health Canada/Santé Canada (“HCSC”) reports certain Roomba Vacuum Clean Bases, mechanical and electronic devices that provide an automatic dirt disposal dock (called the “Clean Base” by iRobot) for use with certain Roomba i7+ Robot Vacuums.

The Clean Base Unit both charges the iRobot Robot Vacuum and allows the Robotic Vacuum to empty its dirt bin into a vacuum bag in the Dock. The affected products include Clean Base units for use with iRobot Roomba i7+ Robot Vacuum models i755020, 4626191, 4639186 or 4699390

Please consult the photograph above for details of the product’s design and retail presentation.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to Health Canada, these Robotic Vacuums are intended for dry-floor use only. When these Robots reportedly ingest a significant volume of liquid, their vacuum motors may disperse this liquid onto the circuit board inside the Clean Base, causing a short circuit. If this defect occurs, it poses an electrical shock hazard and possible risk of fire, burns, smoke inhalation and property damage to people who utilize the product in a reasonable manner expected with its intended use.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled iRobot Roomba Vacuum Clean Base products, please do not use them. Instead, kindly contact iRobot to obtain a free fused line cord that will trip (i.e., circuit break) in the event that liquid causes electrical damage to the circuit board. In some situations, damaged models may require a free replacement Clean Base unit.

If you have any further questions, comments or complaints about this recall, please contact iRobot toll-free 1-866-766-6222 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, Monday to Friday or on the Web at https://homesupport.irobot.com/app/clean_base.

Please note: the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada.
