According to the USDA, this recall was initiated after Nestlé Prepared Foods received five (5) consumer complaints involving hard white plastic found in the Lean Cuisine Baked Chicken Meals. The firm believes the Mashed Potatoes used in the production of the Baked Chicken Meals had pieces of a plastic conveyor belt that broke during production. As a consequence, you should neither serve nor consume any of the recalled Lean Cuisine Baked Chicken Meals identified above.

In general, if plastic or metal fragments are ingested, they could cut the mouth, stomach or other parts of the GI tract, cause intestinal perforation or serious infection and possibly require surgical intervention for their safe removal.

If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure small children and pets can’t access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Lean Cuisine Baked Chicken Meals, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation.
