Canada/Ottawa: Pendopharm Division of Pharmascience Inc., a Montreal, Quebec establishment, recalls two batch/lots of Rhinaris Nasal Mist products from the Canadian marketplace due to reported finding that the pH may be out of specification and consequential risks of spoilage, a serious health hazards.

Health Canada/Santé Canada (“HCSC”) reports the following Nasal Mist products are subject to this recall:

  • Rhinaris Nasal Mist, sold with a Macrogol strength of 15 percent w/w and Propylene Glycol strength of 5% w/w with batch/lot designations of 191226A or 194790A and a Drug Identification Number (DIN) of 02354551

Please consult the photograph above for details of the product’s packaging, design and retail presentation. Please note the packaging presented may differ slightly from the recalled items.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to Health Canada, Pendopharm Division of Pharmascience Inc. has recalled two batch/lots of Rhinaris Nasal Mist products from the Canadian marketplace due to reported finding that the pH may be out of specification and consequential risks of spoilage

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Rhinaris Nasal Mist, please do not use them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm drug poisoning or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any drug, return it to your retailer for refund.

Disposal of this product must be in accordance with local municipal hazardous waste requirements to protect your personal safety, the local drinking water supply and the ecosystem. Please consult your local municipal waste authority for the correct steps for your particular community. In this case, a local pharmacist may agree to take this product and dispose of it safely.
