Additional information:
The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following baked goods are subject to this recall:

  • Almond Kringle, sold in 1-1/2 pound (24 ounce) white wax paper bakery bags with a batch/lot code of 26720 and thought to be sold exclusively in Trader Joe’s retail stores

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation. One (1) additional image of the recalled baked goods can be found on the Web site above.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

These Almond Kringle baked goods were known to be marketed, distributed and sold in Trader Joe’s stores located in the US states of Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas although it is possible these food products had wider distribution within the country. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.

According to the FDA, this recall was initiated because it was discovered that four (4) Pecan-filled Kringles were incorrectly labeled as Almond Kringle and subsequently delivered to the Trader Joe’s distribution center as a part of a larger order.

==> For information about Nut Allergy (including Peanuts and Tree Nuts such as Pecans), please consult the “Allergens & Intolerances” tab at the top of this page.
