Canada/Ottawa: Alliance Outdoor Products, Inc., a Lakeville, Minnesota establishment, recalls an estimated 30 Alliance Outdoor Products X-Stand Treestands from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected corrosion and resultant structural failure with consequential risks of falls, lacerations, concussion, bone fracture and life-changing Central Nervous System (“CNS”) injuries, all serious health and safety hazards.

Additional information:
Health Canada/Santé Canada (“HCSC”) reports this recall involves 2017 model year X-Stand Climbing Treestands, model Silent Adrenaline XSCT334 and model Apache XSCT355:

  • The specific model can be found identified on the box and in the instruction manual. Each is made from lightweight aluminum, has a black nylon netting seat and padded arm rests and seat bar. The weight capacity is 300 pounds (136 kilograms). The recalled Treestands are sold with a batch/lot number located on the metal plate riveted to the stand that ends in “17”, as follows:
    • Apache Treestands, sold with a model number of XSCT355, a batch/lot of 5X-5317 and a UPC of 816153011677
    • Silent Adrenaline Treestands, sold with a model number of XSCT334, batch/lots of 5X-1017 and 5X-1517 and a UPC of 816153011219

==> No manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to Health Canada, the Cable Assemblies attaching and supporting the recalled Treestand can separate due to corrosion. If this defect occurs, it cam pose a fall hazard to the people who utilize the product in a reasonable manner expected with its intended use.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Treestand, please do not use them. Instead, kindly contact Alliance Outdoor Products for a replacement cable assembly or a gift card to purchase another tree stand. Proof of purchase is required.
