Among the eighty (80) recalls the NHTSA has announced this month comes news of the following:

Logo - General Motors LLCGeneral Motors LLC (“GM”), a Detroit, Michigan establishment, has recalled an estimated 2,781 model year 2020 Buick Enclave, Cadillac XT5, Cadillac XT6, Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Acadia vehicles marketed, sold and delivered in the United States.

Recall Category: Fuel System, Gasoline – Insufficient fuel supply may cause Engine stall

NHTSA Safety Notification 20V639000 reports the Fuel Pump’s Jet Nozzle in the recalled vehicles may have a plastic burr remaining from the manufacturing process, possibly causing a blocked nozzle and an insufficient fuel supply to the vehicle’s Engine.

According to the NHTSA, an insufficient fuel supply can result in an Engine Stall without warning, increasing the risk of a motor vehicle collision (“MVC”) or other impact event with consequential serious injury and/or life-changing results.

Under 49 United States Code § 30112(a), it is illegal for anyone, including a manufacturer, distributor, dealer or retailer to sell an item of equipment or vehicle that fails to comply with all applicable Federal motor vehicle safety standards.

Logo - CadillacGM will notify registered owners, and dealers will replace the Fuel Pump Module. The recall began November 16, 2020.
