US FlagUS/Washington: Tarantino Wholesale Foods Distributor, a San Diego, California establishment, recalls an estimated 1,115 pounds of ready-to-eat Mary’s branded Fully Cooked Chicken Breast products from the American marketplace due to suspected unspecified microbial contamination and consequential risks of bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards.

The United States Department of Agriculture (“USDA”) reports the following Chicken products are subject to this recall:

  • Mary’s Fully Cooked Chicken Breast products, with a batch/lot code of 20297 and a use-by date of 10/23/21

==> No barcodes, UPCs, NDCs, DINs, item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the USDA, the cases containing the ready-to-eat Mary’s branded Fully Cooked Chicken Breast products subject to recall bear establishment number “P-8119” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to institution locations in California and were sold directly to retail consumers.

The problem was discovered when the firm received a customer complaint that the Ready-To-Eat Chicken products appeared to be undercooked. As a result of this defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Grilled Chicken products identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure small children and pets can’t access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Grilled Chicken, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat bacterial poisonings.
