Canada/Ottawa: Les Oeufs Richard Eggs Inc., a Rivière-Héva, Quebec establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Les Oeufs Richard Eggs, Nutri and No Name branded Fresh Chicken Eggs from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected Salmonella contamination and consequential risks of Gram-negative bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards.

  • Nutri branded Large White Eggs, sold in 12-egg cartons with product codes of 20-12-22 Q29 or 20-12-24 Q29 and a UPC of 0 61719 01121 3
  • Nutri branded Large White Eggs, sold in 18-egg cartons with product codes of 20-12-22 Q29 or 21-01-01 Q29 and a UPC of 0 61719 01155 8
  • Nutri branded Large White Eggs, sold in 30-egg cartons with product codes of 20-12-22 Q29 or 20-12-24 Q29 and a UPC of 0 61719 01164 0

==> No best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CFIA, Les Oeufs Richard Eggs has recalled certain batch/lots of Les Oeufs Richard Eggs, Nutri and No Name branded Fresh Chicken Eggs from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected Salmonella contamination. As a result, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Fresh Chicken Egg products identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Fresh Chicken Eggs, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
