Among the forty-three (43) recalls the NHTSA has announced this month comes news of the following:

Logo - Daimler Vans USADaimler Vans USA, LLC (“DVUSA”), a Centennial, Colorado establishment and a subsidiary of Daimler AG of Stuttgart, Germany, has recalled an estimated 463 model year 2020 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Vans marketed, sold and delivered in the United States.

Recall Category: Service Brakes, Hydraulic – Damaged Brake Hose may result in a leak

NHTSA Safety Notification 20V631000 reports the outer area of the Brake Hoses on the front and rear axles may have been damaged during production.

Logo - Mercedes-BenzAccording to the NHTSA, over time, the Brake Hose could begin to leak brake fluid, affecting the braking performance of the vehicle, including the potential loss of directional stability when braking, thereby increasing the risk of a crash, MVA or other impact event with consequential injury and/or life-changing results.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat lacerations, amputation, concussions, bone fractures and/or internal injuries.

Daimler Vans will notify registered owners, and dealers will check the condition of the Brake Hoses on the front and rear axles and replace them as needed, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin November 30, 2020.

Owners may contact DVUSA Customer Service toll-free at 1-877-762-8267 during normal business hours, Monday to Friday, Mountain Standard Time (“MST”). DVUSA’s designation for this recall is VS3MONTLAU.
