Recall Category: Fuel System, Gasoline – Fuel Pump may fail

NHTSA Safety Notification 20V682000 reports the Low-Pressure Fuel Pump inside the Fuel Tank may fail.

According to the NHTSA, if the Fuel Pump fails, the engine can stall while driving, increasing the risk of a crash, MVA or other impact event with consequential injury and/or life-changing results.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat lacerations, amputation, concussions, bone fractures and/or internal injuries.

Logo - LexusToyota will notify registered owners, and dealers will replace the Fuel Pump Assembly with an improved one, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin December 23, 2020.

Owners may contact Toyota Customer Service toll-free at 1-800-442-8696 during normal business hours, Monday to Friday, Central Standard Time (“CST”). Note: This recall is an expansion of recall 20V-012. Toyota’s designation for this recall is 20TA02. Lexus’ designation for this recall is 20LA01.
