US FlagUS/Silver Spring: Whole Foods Market, an Austin, Texas establishment and subsidiary of Seattle, Washington-based Amazon.com recalls certain batch/lots of Macaroni & Cheese products from the American marketplace due to undeclared Egg, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention.

The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Macaroni & Cheese products are subject to this recall:

  • BBQ Turkey Meatballs Chef Plate with Mac & Cheese and Green Beans, packaged, sold with a product codes of 241464 and a best-by date through 10/28/2020
  • Chicken Breast Chef Plate with Mac & Cheese and Broccoli, packaged, sold with a product codes of 299430 and a best-by date through 10/28/2020
  • Chicken Rustico Romano Chef Plate with Mac & Cheese and Broccoli, packaged, sold with a product codes of 241442 and a best-by date through 10/28/2020
  • Fried Chicken Meal with Mac & Cheese, packaged on hot bar, sold with a product codes of 237444 and a best-by date through 10/24/2020
  • Fried Chicken Meal with Mac & Cheese, packaged, sold with a product codes of 247257 and a best-by date through 10/25/2020
  • Macaroni & Cheese, chef’s case, sold with a product code of 286501 and a best-by date through 10/28/2020
  • Macaroni & Cheese, online and catering, sold with product codes of 114449 and 109866 and a best-by date through 10/23/2020
  • Macaroni & Cheese, packaged, sold with a product code of 263608 and a best-by date through 10/27/2020
  • Roasted Turkey Chef Plate with Mac & Cheese and Broccoli, packaged, sold with a product codes of 242019 and a best-by date through 10/28/2020
  • Rotisserie Chicken Meals with Mac & Cheese and Broccoli, packaged, sold with product codes of 261596, 261580, 261590, 261601, 261608 and 261616 and a best-by date through 10/26/2020

==> No barcodes, UPCs, NDCs, DINs, item numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FDA, the recalled Macaroni & Cheese products were sold at Whole Foods Market Stores in Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Washington, DC. The product was sold in plastic containers and in family-style meal kits with Whole Foods Market scale labels in the prepared foods department, available both hot and refrigerated. The product was also available from the chef’s case counter and from Whole Foods Market online and catering menus.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Macaroni & Cheese products and could be allergic to their Egg ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
