Canada/Ottawa: Trinity Bakeshop Ltd., a Trinity Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Trinity Bakeshop Ltd. branded Custard Cream Bars, Domino Bars, Nanimo Bars, Pineapple Delight and/or Assorted Squares from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected Salmonella contamination and consequential risks of Gram-negative bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Baked Goods are subject to this recall:

  • Trinity Bakeshop Ltd. branded Custard Cream Bars, sold in 408 gram packages; affected batch/lots: all best-before dates from October 26, 2020 to October 29, 2020 inclusively with a UPC of 0 817251 001720
  • Trinity Bakeshop Ltd. branded Domino Bars, sold in 432 gram packages; affected batch/lots: all best-before dates from October 29, 2020 to November 1, 2020 inclusively with a UPC of 0 817251 001157
  • Trinity Bakeshop Ltd. branded Nanimo Bars, sold in 372 gram packages; affected batch/lots: all best-before dates from October 29, 2020 to November 1, 2020 inclusively with a UPC of 0 817251 001133
  • Trinity Bakeshop Ltd. branded Pineapple Delight, sold in 426 gram packages; affected batch/lots: all best-before dates from October 25, 2020 to October 28, 2020 inclusively with a UPC of 0 817251 002994
  • Trinity Bakeshop Ltd. branded Assorted Squares, sold in 21-piece 546 gram packages; affected batch/lots: all best-before dates from October 29, 2020 to November 1, 2020 inclusively with a UPC of 0 817251 002697

==> No item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CFIA, Trinity Bakeshop has recalled certain batch/lots of Trinity Bakeshop branded Bakery Products from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected Salmonella contamination. You should neither serve nor consume the recalled Custard Cream Bars, Domino Bars, Nanimo Bars, Pineapple Delight and/or Assorted Squares identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Trinity Bakeshop branded Bakery Products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat bacterial such Salmonellosis.
