US FlagUS/Washington: HKC-US LLC, a Memphis, Tennessee establishment, recalls an estimated 280,000 Harbor Breeze Kingsbury Indoor Ceiling Fans from the American marketplace and sold exclusively at Lowe’s Stores due to suspected attachment failure, wall detachment and consequential risks of structural failure, falling debris, bone fracture, concussion, laceration and property damage, all serious health and safety hazards.

Additional information:
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involves certain Harbor Breeze’s Kingsbury Indoor Ceiling Fans manufactured before December 2018, as follows:

  • The recalled Ceiling Fans were sold in a bronze finish and come with five (5) reversible blades in a distressed mocha finish with a 70-inch blade span. The Ceiling Fans also come equipped with a frosted glass light and a remote control. The manufacture date in MM-YYYY format can be found on a label on top of the motor housing.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CPSC, the Light Globe can fall from its housing, posing an impact and laceration injury hazards to the health of people who utilize the product in a reasonable manner expected with its intended use. HKC-US has received seventy-six (76) reports of the Light Globe falling, including four (4) laceration injuries.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Harbor Breeze Kingsbury Indoor Ceiling Fans, please do not use them. Instead, kindly contact HKC to request a new Owner’s Manual and Light Kit Label to help ensure correct installation of the Light Globe.

The recalled Indoor Ceiling Fans were known to have been sold at Lowe’s stores US nationwide and online at Lowes.com from April 2010 through December 2018 for approximately $230.
