UK FlagUK/London: P & B (Foods) Ltd, a Bradford, West Yorkshire establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Ahmed Foods branded Garlic Pickle in Oil and Ahmed Foods branded Mango Pickle in Oil products from the British marketplace due to undeclared Mustard, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention.

The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Sauces are subject to recall:

  • Ahmed Foods Garlic Pickle in Oil, sold in 330 gram jars with a batch/lot code of 036022 – 281FA and a best-before date of 30 April 2022
  • Ahmed Foods Garlic Pickle in Oil, sold in one kilogram canisters with a batch/lot code of 034022 – 161FA and a best-before date of 28 February 2022
  • Ahmed Foods Mango Pickle in Oil, sold in 330 jars with a batch/lot code of 036022 – 281FA and a best-before date of 30 April 2022
  • Ahmed Foods Garlic Pickle in Oil, sold in one kilogram canisters with a batch/lot code of 034022 – 161FA and a best-before date of 30 April 2022

==> No barcodes, EANs, NDCs, DINs, UPCs, item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FSA, P & B (Foods) has recalled certain Ahmed Foods branded Garlic Pickle in Oil and Ahmed Foods branded Mango Pickle in Oil from the British marketplace due to undeclared Mustard.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Ahmed Foods branded Garlic Pickle in Oil and Ahmed Foods branded Mango Pickle in Oil and could be allergic to their Mustard ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-9-9, your closest hospital A&E or emergency centre equipped to properly treat Anaphylaxis.
