Among the seventeen (17) recalls the NHTSA announced this month comes news of the following:

Logo - Dometic CorporationDometic Corporation (“Dometic”), an Elkhart, Indiana establishment and subsidiary of the Dometic Group AB of Solna, Sweden, has recalled an estimated 47,159 Gas-Powered Three-Burner In-Vehicle Cooking Stoves, with part numbers S31, R1731 and R2131 marketed, sold and delivered in the United States.

Recall Category: Equipment – Stove Saddle Valves may leak gas

NHTSA Safety Notification 20E071000 reports the Securing Bolt for the Stove Saddle Valves may be overtightened, possibly damaging the o-ring seal and causing a continuous gas leak.

According to the NHTSA, a gas leak can increase the risks of explosion, fire and/or burns with consequential serious injury and/or life changing or life threatening consequences.

The remedy for this recall is still under development. The manufacturer has not yet provided a schedule for recall notification. Owners may contact Dometic Customer Service toll-free at 1-888-943-4905 during normal business hours, Monday to Friday, Eastern Standard Time (“EST”). No manufacturer’s designation was listed for this recall at press time..
