==> No barcodes, UPCs, NDCs, DINs, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CPSC, this recall was initiated because the Antifreeze products contain the substance Ethylene Glycol, a chemical that must be sold, delivered and stored in child resistant packaging as required by the US Poison Prevention Packaging Act. In this case, the products’ caps were reportedly not rotated sufficiently during manufacturing to engage the child resistant mechanism. If this defect occurs, it poses a risk of poisoning if the contents are swallowed by young children.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Autozone, Highline, Prestone, Starfire and Supertech branded Antifreeze products, stop using them. Instead, please carefully inspect the bottles and twist the cap fully clockwise to ensure the child resistant mechanism is engaged.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to handle Ethylene Glycol poisoning.
