Aerowipe Cleansing Wipe Recall [Australia]


Australia FlagAustralia/Canberra: Logo - Aero HealthcareAero Healthcare, an Armidale, New South Wales establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Aerowipe Cleansing Wipes supplied in various First Aid Kits from the Australian marketplace due to suspected mould contamination and consequential risks of infection, sepsis and severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards.

Additional information:
The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Cleansing Wipe products are subject to this recall:

  • Aerowipe Cleansing Wipes supplied in various first aid kits, sold with a product code of AW8000, batch/lot codes of 24473 or 24706 and expiry dates of 02/2025 or 04/2025 and contained in First Aid Kits, supplied between 7 May 2020 and 25 August 2020 with an ARTG identification of 277597

==> No barcodes, APNs, EANs, UPCs, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the ACCC, this recall was initiated due to the visual presence of black spots resembling mould growth on the Cleansing Wipe products. Consequently, you should not use any of the recalled Wipes identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm drug contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any drug or medical device, return it to your supplier for refund or toss it out in your household rubbish.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Cleansing Wipe products, please do not use them. Instead, kindly contact Aero Healthcare Customer Service to arrange for replacement Wipes to be sent.
