US FlagUS/Washington: CFMOTO Powersports Inc., a Plymouth, Minnesota establishment, recalls an estimated 500 ZFORCE 950 Sport Recreational Off-Highway Vehicles (“ROVs”) from the American marketplace due to suspected fuel line malfunction, fuel leakage and consequential risks of fire, burns, explosion, smoke inhalation and property damage, all serious safety hazards.

Additional information:
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involves the 2020 ZFORCE 950 Sport ROV with a 963cc 4-cycle engine.

  • The recalled Sport Recreational Off-Highway Vehicles were sold and delivered in red or gray with the CFMOTO logo in the center of the front grille. The model name is located on each side of the vehicle doors and the model year 2020 ROVs will have an “L” in the 10th position of the vehicle identification number (“VIN”). The VIN number can be found stamped on the right side frame rail, behind the right rear tire.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, specific VINS, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CPSC, the fuel line fitting on the recall Sport Recreational Off-Highway Vehicles can fail to securely lock onto the fuel injector inlet when utilizing the Recreational Off-Highway Vehicles in a reasonable manner expected with its intended use. If this defect does occur, it can let fuel to spill onto the hot engine parts and ignite, posing a fire hazard.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Sport Recreational Off-Highway Vehicles, please do not use them. Instead, kindly contact an authorized CFMOTO dealer to schedule a free repair. CFMOTO is reportedly contacting all registered owners and dealers directly.
