Australia FlagAustralia/Canberra: SGII Inc., doing business as SeneGence International, an Eagle Farm, Queensland establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of SeneGence for Men Grooming Hair Balm from the Australian marketplace due to suspected Penicillium concentricum mould contamination and consequential risk of infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards.

Additional information:
The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports this recall involves certain SeneGence for Men Grooming Hair Balm products sold in a 52 gram (1.8 ounce) plastic containers coloured blue with white lettering.

  • SeneGence for Men Grooming Hair Balm, sold with an SKU of 3411, a batch designation of 0D15 and lot number of 20112G
  • SeneGence for Men Grooming Hair Balm, sold with an SKU of 3411, a batch designation of 0E05 and lot number of 20125G
  • SeneGence for Men Grooming Hair Balm, sold with an SKU of 3411, a batch designation of 0E29 and lot number of 20140G

==> No barcodes, APNs, DINs, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission, this recall was initiated due to the presence a common household mould, specifically Penicillium concentricum.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Men Grooming Hair Balm products, please do not use them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm drug poisoning or cosmetic contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure pets and small children can’t access the suspect cosmetic.
