US FlagUS/Washington: The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”), a Washington, DC health and safety authority and Folding Helmet Limited, doing business as Morpher, a United Kingdom establishment, recalls an estimated 8,500 Morpher branded Flat-Folding Bicycle Helmets from the American marketplace due to failure suspected safety standard for bicycle helmets and consequential risks of laceration, concussion, bone fracture, all serious safety hazards.

Additional information:
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involves Morpher Flat-Folding Bicycle Helmets.

  • The recalled Bicycle Helmets were sold in one size, fitting head circumferences ranging from 52 cm to 58 cm (approximately 20.5 to 22.8 inches). The Helmets were sold with a storage bag and in the following solid or dotted colors: gloss or matte black, gray, red, silver, white and yellow. The brand, “Morpher” and logo appear on both sides of the Helmet. The Morpher logo appears on the back of the Helmet.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CPSC, the recalled Bicycle Helmets do not comply with the US Federal Safety Standard for Bicycle Helmets, posing a risk of serious head injury when utilizing the product in a reasonable manner expected with its intended use.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Bicycle Helmets, please do not use them. Instead, disable the Helmet so it can’t be worn and toss it out in household trash.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat falls, concussion, bone fracture and/or lacerations.
