Australia FlagAustralia/Canberra: JCJ WA Pty Ltd, a South Perth, Western Australia establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Miss Chow’s Vegetarian Dumplings from the Australian marketplace due to undeclared Shellfish, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention.

The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Vegetarian Dumpling products are subject to this recall:

  • Miss Chow’s Vegetarian Dumplings, sold in 300 gram plastic “foil” stand-up bags containing 12 Dumplings with a best-before date of 22/01/21, a batch/lot designation of G23205 and an APN/EAN of 93256720000105

==> No item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the ACCC, this recall was initiated due to the presence of an undeclared Shellfish.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household rubbish, making sure small children and pets can’t access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Miss Chow’s Vegetarian Dumplings and could be allergic to their Shellfish ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
