Canada/Ottawa: Logo - Sobeys Inc.Sobeys Inc., a Mississauga, Ontario and Stellarton, Nova Scotia establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Taylor Farms branded BBQ Ranch Chopped Salad Kits from the Canadian marketplace due to undeclared Sesame and Wheat, both known allergens, sources of dietary intolerance and possible triggers of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following prepared Salad Kits are subject to this recall:

  • Taylor Farms branded BBQ Chopped Salad Kits, sold in 377 gram containers with a batch/lot code of 2020 SE 02, a production code of TFRG 230 A16 and a UPC of 0 30223 04171 9

==> No manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CFIA, Sobeys Inc. has recalled certain batch/lots of Taylor Farms branded BBQ Ranch Chopped Salad Kits from the Canadian marketplace due to undeclared Sesame and Wheat.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Taylor Farms branded BBQ Ranch Chopped Salad Kits and could be allergic to their Sesame and Wheat ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat Anaphylaxis.
