US FlagUS/Washington: Hercules OEM, a Burnsville, Minnesota establishment, recalls an estimated 50,000 Moravian Star Lights from the American marketplace due to suspected insufficient wiring gauge and consequential risks of fire, burns, smoke inhalation and property damage, all serious safety hazards.

Additional information:
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involves a single style of Moravian Star Lights, including those with incandescent and LED bulbs.

  • The recalled Lights are a white multipointed star designed to hang from a ceiling. The Moravian Stars were sold in two sizes, 12″ and 21″. The exterior boxes were either red, green or blue.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, DINs, item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CPSC, the Lights lack adequate minimum wire size and over-current protection, posing fire and electrical shock hazards to people who utilize the product in a reasonable manner expected with its intended use.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Moravian Star Lights, please do not use them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
