Australia FlagAustralia/Canberra: Fauve & Co., a Melbourne, Victoria establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Wooden Barbell Baby Rattle Toys from the Australian marketplace due to suspected failure to comply with the size and shape requirements of Australia’s mandatory standard ‘Consumer Protection Notice No. 14 of 2003 – Consumer Product Safety Standard: Toys for children up to and including 36 months of age’ and consequential risks of choking, ingestion and suffocation, all serious safety hazards.

The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Baby Rattle Toys are subject to this recall:

  • Fauve & Co Wooden Barbell Baby Rattle Toys, wooden rattles with small metal bell shakers

==> No barcodes, APNs, EANs, UPCs, DINs, item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the ACCC, Fauve & Co has recalled certain batch/lots of Wooden Barbell Baby Rattle Toys from the Australian marketplace due to risks of choking, ingestion and suffocation.

In general, if plastic or metal fragments are ingested, they could cut the mouth, stomach or other parts of the GI tract, cause intestinal perforation or serious infection and possibly require surgical intervention for their safe removal.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Fauve & Co Wooden Barbell Baby Rattle Toys, please do not use them nor allow your child to play with or near them. Instead, kindly return the product to Fauve & Co for a full refund.
